# Nulix Workspace Settings: Name, Security, and Billing

> Configure your Nulix workspace name, URL slug, security policies, email notifications, and billing subscription all from one central settings panel.

Your Nulix workspace is the container for all your knowledge bases, team members, and content. Workspace Settings is where you control everything that applies globally — from your workspace's public-facing name and URL, to security policies, billing, and notification preferences. Access it by clicking **Settings** in the Nulix sidebar.

## General Settings

General settings control the basic identity of your workspace as it appears to your team and, in some cases, to the public.

> **Workspace Name**
>
> The name displayed in the Nulix dashboard and in email notifications sent to your team. Update it at any time under **Settings > General > Workspace Name**.

> **URL Slug**
>
> Your workspace slug forms the base of your Nulix-hosted knowledge base URLs (e.g., `yourslug.nulix.io`). Changing the slug will immediately break any existing links that use the old URL, so plan this change carefully.

> **Default Language**
>
> Sets the default language for the workspace interface and new knowledge bases. Individual knowledge bases can override this setting.

> **Timezone**
>
> Used to display timestamps for article publishing, analytics, and notifications in your local time.

## Security Settings

Security settings let you control who can access your workspace and how readers authenticate with private knowledge bases.

**1. Require login for private knowledge bases**

Enable **Require Login** to force readers to authenticate before viewing any private knowledge base. Navigate to **Settings > Security > Require Login** and toggle it on.

**2. Restrict team access by email domain**

Under **Allowed Email Domains**, enter one or more domains (e.g., `yourcompany.com`). Only users with matching email addresses will be able to accept team invitations, preventing outside parties from joining your workspace.

## Notification Settings

Nulix can send email notifications to keep your team informed about activity in the workspace.

| Notification | Who receives it | Where to configure |
| - | - | - |
| Article comment posted | Article author + Admins | Settings > Notifications |
| New team member invited | Workspace Admins | Settings > Notifications |
| New team member joined | Workspace Admins | Settings > Notifications |
| Article published | Subscribers (if enabled) | Settings > Notifications |

Toggle each notification type on or off to match your team's preferred communication style.

## Billing

View your current plan, manage your subscription, and access your billing history from the **Billing** tab in Settings.

> **[Current Plan](https://docs.nulix.io/admin/workspace-settings.md)**
>
> See which Nulix plan your workspace is on and review the features and limits included.

> **[Upgrade Plan](https://docs.nulix.io/admin/workspace-settings.md)**
>
> Upgrade to a higher tier to unlock AI search, additional team seats, custom domains, and advanced analytics.

Click **Open Billing Portal** to manage your payment method, download invoices, or cancel your subscription. The billing portal is hosted by Stripe.

## Danger Zone

The Danger Zone section in **Settings > General** contains irreversible actions. Take care before proceeding with either option.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Deleting your workspace permanently destroys all knowledge bases, articles, categories, team members, and analytics data associated with it.** This action cannot be undone. Nulix does not retain backups after deletion. If you want to pause your account instead, consider downgrading to a free plan rather than deleting.

* **Rename Workspace** — Changes both the display name and the URL slug in a single operation. All existing knowledge base URLs using the old slug will stop working immediately.
* **Delete Workspace** — Permanently removes the workspace and all its contents. You will be asked to type your workspace name to confirm.
